one of techno's most underrated figures is without a doubt ANTHONY SHAKIR aka SHAKE. he's been making music since the term "techno" was coined, and remains to this day one detroit's most innovative electronic musicians (and i say this even in the context of the younger artists making electronic music in that city). his music is a broken, chunked-up, funked-out collage of his influences, and his djing is eclectic, free-wheeling, and a general good time. this is his FIRST TIME EVER playing in chicago, and we truly hope it's not his last.
